Première Vision | Paris
Clarenson. Oreste Boggio Casero. Cocci Stefano. Foreign words that many people have never heard about and that most wouldn’t associate with fashion, but these are common names for fashion designers and those in the business side of the industry. For anyone who has ever worn luxury brands, you have unknowingly dressed in + felt the works of these prestigious names.
Just this past week from February 8-10, Première Vision took over the Parc d’Expositions de Paris-Nord Villepinte as fabric manufacturers came to display their Spring|Summer 2012 fabric collections to fashion designers around the world. With 1,500 exhibitors and over 50,000 visitors from the fashion world, more than 100 nationalities were present. From Italian linens and prints to French lace and embroideries, the exposition was the place to be for designers to gather inspiration.
Textures + colors & prints galore, fashion + class & jet lag was there to experience it all. The energy was that of excitement as businesss professionals and beginning designers shuffled from exhibit to exhibit to find the perfect fabrics to define their creative imaginations as well as fit a market and build their clientele audience. Scissors + needles & mannequins out, let 2012 fashion begin.
