Rolando Santana [NewYorkFashionWeek] SpringSummer 2012

In a soft, elegant palette of ivory, sage green & seashell, fashion designer Rolando Santana took visions of Florentine sunsets & historic limestone facades to create his Spring|Summer 2012 collection. With hints of metallics + golden accents, the pieces are feminine & effortless. They embody the softness of spring, the soul of summer.

In a collaboration that paralleled the Italian spirit, thirty-two Rolando Santana looks paraded the runway in heels made by revered shoe designer Manolo Blahnik.  The gentle collection debuted with silk chiffon + vintage-white-and-sequined underlay, giving way to a sage-embroidered-and-sequined cardigan with metallic pants to fitted skirts & ruffled ankle-length gowns. Tastefully minimal, the pieces are perfect when wanting to “play it safe.”
