Paris Fashion Week | Christian Dior FW 2012

Christian Dior | FallWinter 2012

Polite, proper & cultured, fifty-six Christian Dior looks gracefully waltzed in Paris, proving that with a little polishing, the brand still possesses radiance. Tamer than when John Galliano reigned, the creations via Bill Gaytten align much more closely with the brand’s namesake designer. The latest collection is made for a madame, enmeshing the past with modernity. Conservatively, the dresses fall below the knees. Twists, bows & pleats spring across the bodices. With a color palette that spans from pastel pink & thistle to burgundy & metallic brown, there’s much to be said about the classicism: superb. | Giuseppe
